Hi, my name is Vince Cowell and I took up photography in the Spring of 2007. My wife and I go birdwatching and I thought it would be nice to have a photographic record of our trips so I bought my first DSLR.
My son plays Basketball for a local team in Hull and I go along and photograph the games, mainly for experience and for the Hull Wasps publicity and marketing team to use on their website.
I have been on a very steep learning curve in the past couple of years, but have had lots of help from various people for which I am grateful.
Most of the photos on this site have been taken with a Canon 40D but the newer ones have been taken with my new 1Dmark3.

Some really nice pictures in your February offerings.
See you have been around these parts (Forge Valley) this last week.
We have had Golden Plover here on Wykeham Carr but too distant for pictures when I saw them.
